Youth Specialist - Off Campus
NEISD Program
Good Samaritan Community Services currently has an opening for a Youth
Service Specialist to assist with a special 18 week asset building program for
elementary school aged youth at Windcrest Elementary School in the Northeast
Independent school district. Basic duties include monitoring student
attendance, facilitating snack and homework time; and conducting pre-made
asset-building lessons and activities to foster self-esteem, decision making
skills, and the development and maintenance of healthy lifestyles. The ideal
candidate will have relevant experience working with elementary school aged
youth. The program will operate three days per week, four hours each day
in the afternoon/evening.
GED Instructor F/T
Laredo, Texas
Summary of Responsibilities
- Follow up with referral sources to increase
program recruitment
- Assist students with enrollment paperwork
- Assess the educational needs of student ages 16
to 21 years of age
- Create and facilitate an educational service
plan for each student
- Monitor student progress and initiate testing
for GED completion
Kitchen Assistant F/T
Main Campus (San Antonio)
Good Samaritan Community Services is seeking a Kitchen
Assistant at our main campus. The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for
preparing and delivering breakfast, lunch, and snack to children enrolled in
our daycare and youth program, as well as clean up duties. The ideal candidate
will have a food handling certification, high school diploma or GED, and basic
knowledge of nutrition requirements for youth.
Child Development Program Substitute Teachers P/T
Main Campus (San Antonio)
Good Samaritan Community Services needs substitute teachers to care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age, enrolled in the child development program. Basic duties include facilitating play time activities, assisting with meal times, and classroom clean up.
Adult and Family Services Program Manager F/T
Main Campus (San Antonio)
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise senior activities to ensure
that program objectives are met
- Provide counseling services and community
referrals to adult participants
- Assist other GSCS programs with counseling needs
- Create and maintain reports detailing program
outcomes
- Supervise other Adult and Family staff
- Recruit and mentor social work interns to
enhance offered services
Get 2 Work Rural Case Manager F/T
Services Kerr and surrounding counties
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement service plans for
impoverished teen aged youth
- Monitor and encourage the completion of
educational and career goals
- Provide referrals to outside services as needed
- Maintain detailed and accurate participant
records
- Facilitate character and skill building
workshops
Job Coach F/T
Main Campus (San Antonio)
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Match Get 2 Work participants to job sites based
upon their interest and skills
- Record work experience progress in participant
files
- Visit work sites to monitor participant progress
- Calculate participant timesheets and maintain
log of hours worked
Case Manager F/T
Main Campus (San Antonio)
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Manage a case load of 75-85 participants
- Evaluate participant behavior, participation and
academic progress via behavior tracker, weekly progress chart meetings and
individual meetings with participants
- Determine services needed to meet participant
needs including tutoring and specialized curriculum
- Manage ongoing behavioral problems
- Serve as a family liaison to community resources
Youth Service Specialist II - ABC F/T
Main Campus (San Antonio) /Lanier High School
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist the development and presentation of ABC lessons
for Lanier and Good Samaritan participants
- Input participant data into CMS, record
attendance, and assist with program reporting
Youth Specialist P/T
Main Campus (San Antonio)
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Plan and facilitate educational, character development
and recreational activities for youth participants as assigned by Activities
Coordinator

Maintain program equipment and supplies
- Manage participant behavior and discipline daily
- Chaperone field trips and off campus events
- Track curriculum attendance as needed
- Assist Case Management team with ongoing
evaluation of participant behavior, participation and academic progress
