Simon Salas - Chief Executive Officer

Simon Salas, CEOSimon Salas received his BA from Columbia College, his JD from Columbia Law School, and an MPA from Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs. Simon served as a chief exective in San Antonio for 30 years before joinging Good Samaritan, creating service delivery infrastructures for start-up and mature organizations in the education, government, nonprofit and business sectors. After serving as Vice President and Board Member of GSCS between the years 2010 and 2016, Simon serves the community that he was born and raised in, and works diligently to strengthen GSCS' partnerships with the families it serves and continues GSCS' mission to be a catalyst for change. simon.salas@goodsamtx.org 

Anna Sanchez - Director of Advancement

Anna Sanchez Anna Sanchez is responsible for the production of grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations to persuasively communicate GSCS’ mission and programs in order to secure funding for the agency’s programs as budgeted. This includes the Regional and Main Campus program budgets. Anna joined Good Sam in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from University of Texas at San Antonio. As the Interim Director of Advancement, Anna plans, coordinates and assures implementation of strategies to develop donors and contributions to support the organization.

Heather Ryniker - Director of Finance and Business

Heather Final Heather Ryniker joined the agency in November 2013.  She earned a B.S. in Business  Management from the University of Phoenix and attended Seminary at The School of  Theology, University of the South.  Her experience includes fifteen years of  Operational Management in the Corporate sector and over five years doing Business  Management and Financial Analysis for a non-profit publisher.

Jennifer Cook - Director of Operations

Jen Final Jennifer Cook has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from St.  Mary’s University, where she was on the basketball team, and a Master’s Degree in  Business Administration from Walden University. Jennifer has been with the agency  since 2002 and oversees all of the youth programs in San Antonio, Brownsville, Pharr, Alice, Corpus Christi, Sonora and Wimberley. In 2015, Jennifer was awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award from the State of Texas Community Youth Development Program.

Alyssa Perusquia - Human Resources Manager

Alyssa Perusquia earned her B.A. in Human Resources from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Alyssa joined the agency in 2014 and is responsible for executing all human resources duties to include; hiring, recruiting, benefits, employee relations, and insurance.
